Four Seasons Residences New York City

architecture blog designer four seasons greco hotel design interior design neoclassical

I recently came across this beautiful study in black and white classic opulence at the Four Season Private Luxury Residences lobby in the New York hotel.

Start with the labrynth inspired circular graphic design on the floors. I am reminded of an English garden. Then bring your eyes up a notch to the marble fireplace in shades of black white grey and beige for some texture. Follow that up with glossy wall paint in stark white and black framed marble walls with white veins. Vaulted silver leaf arches finish off the look for a modern take on classical design. Even the wall sconces are interesting. Minimal yet still packing a design punch. Clearly every element has been carefully considered to evoke the luxury that the four seasons is known for the world over.
